Meet the RRC Tutors at Safety & Health Expo, Birmingham NEC

9-11 May 2006 - Hall 9, Stand G40

May is the time in the calendar when we all prepare for the Safety and Health Expo at the Birmingham NEC. Europe's leading annual health and safety event has a reputation for providing a one-stop shop for all those with an interest in health and safety and has become an unmissable event in the diaries of many health and safety professionals.

As usual, representatives of the RRC Health and Safety Tutor Team will be on the RRC stand for the duration of Expo to talk to both existing students and health and safety professionals interested in RRC's NEBOSH and IOSH courses, including our exciting new range of block release programmes.

We will be holding free Revision Classes each day on a range of topics and tutors will be on hand to provide any last minute help or give you guidance on what steps to take next.

Our FREE Revision Classes will be taking place at 11am, 12 noon and 2pm each day and will cover the following topics:

  • COSHH (including airborne contaminants)
  • Permit-to-Work Systems
  • The Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order
  • Examination Preparation

Don't forget to make a note of these times in your diary so you can time your visit to our stand to make sure you catch them!

Free copies of The RRC Guide to Health and Safety Training will also be available on request. This invaluable guide aims to assist organisations in identifying what training is best suited to them and their staff and, importantly, concentrates on the practicalities of health and safety training and includes a checklist of questions to ask before signing on the dotted line.

'Most organisations now accept their moral obligation as well as the business sense of giving health and safety paramount importance,' comments RRC MD Gary Fallaize. 'Yet this increased focus on health and safety has brought its own problems - the growth in available health and safety training options makes it all the more easy to make the wrong choices, waste time and money and end up with qualifications that are of no value.'

The RRC Guide to Health and Safety Training, a concise 20-page booklet, lifts the lid on the real benefits and costs of training. It looks at what drives health and safety training in the UK and the trends currently shaping the marketplace.

By highlighting current topics, the legal requirements and the different qualifications and options available, the RRC Guide to Health and Safety Training aims to assist organisations in identifying what training is best suited to them and their staff and how to select the best ways to obtain it.

The Safety and Health Expo is open from 10am on Tuesday 9 May until 4pm on Thursday 11 May and you can find us in Hall 9 on Stand G40.

If you haven't got your tickets already, it's not too late. You can register for free before the event (saving yourself a £20 entrance fee on the day) by registering online at www.safety-health-expo.co.uk.

We look forward to seeing you there.
