New HSE Programmes Coming Soon

RRC are delighted to announce that we will soon be offering two new CIEH programmes, plus an additional IOSH qualification, to complement our existing health, safety and environmental training provision.

The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health is one of the leading awarding bodies in the field of safety and health. RRC will be offering the following two short courses over the next couple of months, with additional CIEH programmes being added over the next 12 months:

Principles of Manual Handling (1/2 day (including assessment))

This Level 1 qualification is aimed at those who carry out manual handling activities at work and will introduce you to the hazards of manual handling, the risks involved and controls available, and what to expect from a manual handling assessment.

Content

  • The process of manual handling in the workplace
  • Manual handling injuries and the activities which cause them
  • Manual handling assessment and control options
  • Responsibilities imposed by the Manual Handling Operations Regulations

Principles of COSHH (1/2 day (including assessment))

This Level 1 qualification is aimed at those who use substances hazardous to health at work and introduces you to the hazards associated with those substances, the risks and controls available, and what to expect from a COSHH assessment.

  • Definition and types of substances hazardous to health in the workplace
  • Health effects of hazardous substances and their causes
  • COSHH assessments and control options
  • Responsibilities imposed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations

IOSH is Europe's leading body for health and safety professionals, with over 30,000 members worldwide, including almost 10,000 Chartered Safety and Health Practitioners. RRC Training already offer a variety of IOSH programmes, including Working Safely, Managing Safely, Directing Safely and Managing with Environmental Responsibilities, but we are about to add to this with our new Supervising Safely programme.

IOSH Supervising Safely (3 days (including assessment))

The IOSH Supervising Safely course is designed for those with a supervisory function in their role who are seeking the knowledge required to help them comply with their health and safety responsibilities.
