NEBOSH National Diploma

Those of you who have not transferred to the new specification and are therefore still completing assignments for Units A, B and C should be aware that NEBOSH have recently relaxed the word limits for these assignments:

“Following comments from centres and at the Regional Providers’ Meetings it has been decided to relax the word limit restrictions for the current assignments. Assignments will now be expected to be up to 3,500 words in length. Where assignments exceed this limit by between 10% and 20% (i.e. 3,851 words to 4,250 words) the mark awarded will be reduced by 10% of its value. If this results in a mark less than 50%, the assignment will be referred and the resubmission capped to 50%. Assignments exceeding the 3,500 word limit by more than 20% will be capped to 60%.”

Please note that this is only applicable for those on the ‘old’ specification – not those who are completing Unit D.

RRC are in the process of conducting a legislative update on our National Diploma course materials. As a result we are in the process of compiling an updating supplement detailing these changes and will be issuing this over the next few weeks.

Note for Students on the New Specification

The registration deadline for the September 2007 submission of the Unit D assignment has now passed. The next submission date is March 2008. We will be contacting you later in the year to see who wishes to register for the March 2008 submission.
